It is Friday again and this batch of fifty linden items is awesome: lovely and delicate jewels from League, classical hairstyle from elikatira, a sheer and elegant top from kyoot and cute rainbow eyes from L.Fauna.

The ring is actualy normaly an earring from Exodi for the Albero Summer Gatcha Festival but it works great like this aswel. It is made of colored pearls which form a flower.

Teal Delight

Hello,

Sometimes, you feal like sailing away, taking a break, far from the daily routine, or far from problems. An escape can cure some wounds, not all. You can run, but there are things that will always get back to you.

For a change, I’ve used a windlight setting called Sailor’s Delight, which gives that orange sky. As I had put up together this outfit made of old and new releases from Emery, for the 52 Weeks of color challenge : Teal, I liked the vivid contrast with the sky. I’ve tried to post-process a bit but it was not really adding to the picture so for once I’ve let it raw.

Pink Sunset

Hello,

Secret Store again? Yep! This time, it is a release for The Cellar at Euphoria. Like always, Maylee just couldn’t make 1 great item, she had to create a wonderful dress in 3 different prints. I’ll show you only 2 so you go there to have a look at the third one (in other words, i’ve been lazy about taking more pictures).

Now a little rant. It is been weeks it hasn’t been possible to take a simple shot of an outfit with jewels. The tiny prims NEVER rez correctly. I know, there are ways to have them to appear but once you have clicked on all the jewels, you can be sure it is hell to have the avatar eyes in a correct position. It is like either the jewels, either the eyes, and cross the fingers cause no result is guaranteed. Fix that soon, please! I am so fed up with that I might go without jewels in the pics in the future until it is fixed.

Add Colors to your Life

Hello,

As winter gets a bit long and I am craving for spring, adding a bit of colors to my life, to my outfits seemed a nice way to fight one of the most tiresome period in the year. This colorfully daring outfit started with the skirt. Indeed, Maylee Oh, from the Secret Store, has released the perfect skirt for this, with a new african inspired print released for the Fashion House, opened from 11th till 15th February.

While playing with colors, better go for the full effect so I’ve picked the wonderful new Curvaceous boots from God
s in Plum and black and paired it with a bag from Orta which has the same tones. The sweater from Addict and the tights from vive9 are green to play with the contrast. About the boots, Gos is hosting a photography and styling contest. The above picture is my entry for it. Hart Larsson from [ PXL ] has released his new skin, Linda G3 (stands for Generation 3), but it has so much evolved and improved he could have named it Bellinda as in Linda even more beautiful. The lucky members of the [ PXL ] Female VIP group can get it a bit in advance. Check Hart’s Flickr Photostream for more info about all the tones and make-up and just TP to the store to get access to the special VIP skybox. You want to join the group anyway, as you get discount on your purchases so you rapidly get back the initial investment. I’ve picked a daring pink lips one with shadow eyes in tatoo layer to remind the color of the boots and bag. For the others, don’t worry, the skin will be available sometimes next week for everyone.

I am often wearing copper tones hair but in this case it just seemed the best option. With all the colors in the outfit, light brown, black and blonde seemed a bit dull. I wanted a short style to show some earrings and a necklace from Uzuri, which ethnic inspiration matched the theme of the skirt.

Taupe and the Silk Kerchief

The Secret Store is finally being invited at The Dressing Room Blue and of course, Maylee Oh couldn’t just make a great skirt based on her latest release, she had to make a most awesome one! I am totaly in love with the print of the fabric, with a Art Nouveau feeling, rich colors and a silk effect. The skirt comes in two options, with and without a bow belt. I don’t know if the skirt will be avalaible when the TDR Blue closes its doors so you have to grab it NOW! For 60 L$ only, you have to get it!

I probably won’t have much time this coming days so i’ll cheat a bit and will already propose this post for the Taupe week of the 52 Weeks of color challenge. The star of this post is the skirt but the brown accessories and background are allowing to show the best out of it. Taupe is a great color, it is elegant and can be easily warmed up by small hints of more vivid colors. I am using it a lot in my outfits for these reasons.

Some words about the bag. I saw it first on Whimsy Winx’ blog and immediately Teleported to the shop to get it. It is a new release from the well known japanese creator June Dion of B@rerose. June offers us quality designs for very cheap prices. I often use bags coming from this shop as they are original with great textures. They come in several attachment points and in this case, you even get a smaller bag to use as a clutch for a mere 120 L$. It is not to be missed if you’re looking for nice accessories at a low price.

Parisienne Boho

Hello,

There were several new cute releases this week-end, including two Dutch Touch Skins, MensJe and MegAn, and a Mimikri dress, emily, which has a vintage boho feel to it. If you are part of the Dutch Touch VIP group, the MegAn starterpack in cream is only at 400 L$. No idea how long it will last but it is worth to run to the store to get the deal. The skin is cute with far set eyes, tons of options like 3 eyebrows colors, freckles, moles, cleavage.

I’ve been walking for some hours wearing this look, with those great MIEL boots, color changeable to fit about anything, a clutch and matching tights from Croire but there was something missing, hair. I’ve tried several different styles, but I was not happy with what i was finding until I saw an advertizing for Plume, a new hair shop by Fauve Beaumont. Fauve is proposing us original couture styles, with accessories like this cute hat for the Parisienne coiffure, which adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the look.

The Seasons Hunt was launched on saturday 15th January and will last for two whole weeks. I am not really into hunts, I can even say I am boycotting some of them for several reasons but in this case, I have to admit I am very pleasantly surprised as the designers have been very generous and are offering us awesome items, like the So Many Style Fur Shrug. Believe me, you want to look for it, but be warned, it is a well hidden one! One of the things I like about this hunt is you don’t have to find the gift in one store before being able to move to the next one. If you join the in world The Seasons Hunt(ers) group, you can find a notecard in the notices with the landmarks to the participating stores and tons of help from lovely people. So, you can choose to only visit the stores you like when you don’t have much time online or give a try at the whole list, which is really worth it.

French Girl Cliché

I wanted to blog the new Les Bleuets jacket from The Secret Store since its release one week ago but I couldn’t find a look I liked with it and which hadn’t been blogged yet by others. With the new Tatum hairstyle from Truth, the cliché french girl became obvious. Let’s say she’s going to buy a baguette on a spring sunday morning.

The Secret Store is offering the scarf belt in blue as a Lazy Sunday item and it is coming soon to the store in several colors aswell if you missed it. The jeans and the bag are Fifty Linden Friday’s deals from Milk Motion. The jeans were still available this morning, you might check and grab them. the skin is a VIP group gift from Exodi, another preview of the upcoming Silvan.

As a side note, I am having serious connection problems lately and were not able to take as many pictures as I wanted. I might not blog for several days, as I will be unable to take pictures during evenings. Time will tell …

Kawaii Cowgirl

Don’t worry, or I am sorry, it depends on your point of view on the subject, but no, I am not changing my style for kawaii. It is cute, nice, sweet, etc. but that is definately not me. BUT… I’ve got that great friend who has a serious kawaii tendance and who tried to corrupt me last night, I will give her name, cause once again, it is all her fault: Maylee Oh! She had the great *coughs* idea to drag me to japanese stores, the pink ribbons ones, you know, the ones I see and walk to the other side of the street…

After several sims and shops, even Maylee was feeling a bit nauseous from all the kawaii shamallows. You see, it is cute, sweet, etc. but it is just like sugar, a little is nice, too much and you got sick. We were about to give up when we both sighted the same tunic at Lo*momo. Courageously, I’ve left her try a red one first. I know, I am nice. We rapidly agreed the fluffy lace ribbon skirt was to be avoided but the top was so cute I’ve picked a light brown one. In a previous store, yorim’s, I had bought that fur and feather pochette. Rapidly the idea to work on cowgirl look was born. I also wanted to use one of the new Confetti minis skirts from Sn@tch. These are simply a must-have basic for any wardrobe.

Maybe you will have noticed something new for me in these three pictures, it is the depth of field, the blur that is more intense as you move away from the camera focus. I was finaly able to have the new S21 build of Kirsten’s viewer to work on my computer. I don’t know why but the S20 was not working for me so maybe you might give it a try too and test it by yourself.
