Tillie Posing Stand

For any Second Life Fashion blogger, there is one item you absolutely need and which makes your life so much easier, it is a posing stand. Basicly, you drop your poses in it and scroll through them to choose the one which will compliment your outfit the best. Poses are so important to make good pictures. I cannot imagine going on blogging without my dear [Tillie] Posing Stand. I have it for years and it has never failed me. For beginners, it is even delivered with poses from reknown poses shops, being Diesel Works and Glitterati.

Occasionnaly, Tillie Ariantho is adding new features to her creation and you automatically receive a new box full of wonders. The last 4.0 version is bringing a very neat option: “[new] light/huds: You can now click a button in the blue LIGHT menu and on the hud LIGHT page to make lights follow the nearest avatar: button FOLLOW. This will make the light always being directed towards the nearest avatar.” I just love that. For a long time I have been avoiding playing with spotlights in Second Life because I was finding it too long to set up. Nuw, you just click a button and it is set. I don’t see how to make it easier.

While snapshotting the picture in world was easier, I had a bit more trouble to rework the light and shadows (dodge and burn) in Photoshop as there are three sources of light. For the rest, I have kept the same postprocessing method I usualy do, that is cleaning the picture than playing with curves (a lot), adding contrast, vibrance and then lowering the saturation. Here below, you see the raw shot before working on it.

Leopard

I know, it is supposed to be spring in the Northern hemisphere and all the designers in Second Life are releasing great springy outfits. But so far, it looks like the change of season has lost itself on the way to Western Europe. If someone finds it somewhere, please remind it to come greet us soon. It will be most than welcome after that long winter.

It is so cold that even in SL, I felt like wearing warmer clothes. Actualy, this mood is perfect as thanks to it, I was able to wear that great tweed jacket from Erratic. By the way, erratic is having a sale with 50% off even on the newest releases so it is time to pay the shop a visit. Beware and update your ladmarks, it is new location.

February Fameshed

The Secret Store has a new pretty dress available at FaMESHed in several colors ranging from soft and romantic like snow or vanilla to more daring and vivid tones like teal mixed with orange. While I was there, I have picked boots from Coco and a leather vest from Emery.

In my world, short dress + boots = 60’s look but I did not want to be too much of a babydoll so I have chosen the Ava Skin from Belleza, which suits a grown up woman rather than a young girl. The Virginie hairstyle is one of this week’s releases from Truth. Like always, the eyes are from Ikon. To finish the look, I am wearing the new Atiriya jewelry set from Zaara and mesh nails from Pixel Mode.

It has been a while since I have written anything but don’t worry, I will not annoy you with a long text this time either. I just wanted to let you know the new CheerNo Femme fall collection is out. I have chosen the Vintage mesh dress in blue Klein. To contrast with that deep “outremer” blue, I have picked crimson accessories, including mesh shoes and a watch from Pixel Mode and a bag i have slightly tinted darker from Leverocci.

Second thing you have to know is that Nah! is having a sale. If you are looking for great jewelry pieces, everything goes for under 50 L$, with awesome bargains for earrings at 10 L$. The headband and the necklace are samples of what you can find there.

Finally, Illusory has a somewhat new skin available at their temporary location. The gorgeous Paige had been released already for a special event some time ago. I had purchased it at that time and I don’t know if there had been a skin line following that. Since then it has been improved and is now waiting for you in six wonderful skin tones.

As a side note, I am working on a new shape so it is normal if you do not recognize my avatar. It is not the skin which is changing it so much. Stay tuned for a release some day soon.
