Cherry Christmas!

Hello,

For the 52 Weeks of color challenge i’ve chosen to use some touches of cherry rather than go for a full outfit. As tomorrow is Christmas Eve, i wanted something a bit festive and here it is.

The basis for the look is a dress from Mon Tissu with an adorable cherry bow. I had picked up the House of fox tights sooner this week at Euphoria thinking they would be useful and indeed, it is perfect with the dress. For the fun and to change from usual, this look is more kawaii, a bit too young for me but I’ve found it so cute I still decided to blog it. To make it more festive and luxurious, i am wearing the fur bolero from the Leezu Mina dress, an old but still gorgeous release.

I also went for blonde for more contrast and the honeycomb color from Lamb is one my favorite from this brand. To conclude, the hair corsage from Bliensen + MaiTai adds a final festive touch.

Princess from the Steppes

Hello,

As you can see, I couldn’t resist the new releases from LeLutka which are pristinely made as always with terrific textures and prims. This week collection has a military note to it but I rather worked on a princess from the steppes look, inspired by the fur, a perfect occasion to use the ** Dunes ** Jade shape and the for PXL Kasumi skin, well, not that I really need an excuse to use my favorite skin.

Two weeks ago, Exodi has released make-ups, eyelashes and moles on the tattoo layers. They are working with any skins. I am wearing here the glamour eyelashes and left upper lip beauty mark. With the new ability to add up to 6 layers, it is very easy now to personalize your favorite skin to have a more unique look.

For the pictures, I paid a visit to the Oubliettes sim which has a wonderful winter theme, with a fantasy touch.

Sepia

Hello,

once again I am completing the 52 Weeks of color challenge, just before the deadline.

The worse is I have this outfit ready since Sunday. Sepia seemed kind of easy for me. It is a color used as a filter when you want to add a touch of nostalgy to your pictures. The corelation between old pictures and Donna Flora seemed quite logical. Once there, my problem was not to find an outfit which would suit the challenge but rather to find the one i liked best between all the fabulous creations. I’ve finally opted for this dress which seems quite simple yet elegant and light. Though made of sculpties, the prims are ingenoiously doubled with a sheer textures giving a feeling of a very soft and light silk floating around you. I’ve been wearing this dress a lot this last week and never ceased to be amazed at the quality of the skirt.

For the hair, i’ve been choosing one of the new style from Exile, Nyx, which has a lot of movement to contrast with the simplicity of the dress. I am still in love with my new umbrella and am using it to add a bit of color, matching the gloves and the ankle wraps.

Umbrella is the Trend!

It’s all Maylee’s fault!

Some times ago, I saw an awesome picture from Maylee’s Oh on Flickr. She was teasing us with a new release of The Secret Store for the Happy Holidays hunt. Being the asshole i can be, I immediately bugged her, saying she was mean to tease us with such a great picture, that it was not humanly possible to wait for several days until the 10th December and the start of the hunt and so on. She was also wearing the fabulous coat when i TPed over to her shop, looking for something else, so i’ve threatened her to drool all over her coat for teasing us with it. That’s when she made me feel bad for bugging her for the fun as she gave me the said coat… but that’s how Maylee is, she is just great. I don’t know her for long but each time i’ve had had the chance to talk to her, it was great fun and i’ve been amazed to see how such a nice and funny girl she can be.

That is for the person, … now what about her creations? They are just the same! Original, fun, made with passion and care for quality. Maylee Oh’s The Secret Store is becoming one of those rising brand that you cannot avoid, that you don’t want to avoid! Seriously, orginal, beautiful clothes with textures and sculpties created by the designer at affordable prices, who would want to skip that? Fayne Khandr has written an article about Maylee in the 42nd release of Second Style Magazine. While reading the article, all i could do was nod and smile, totally agreeing, as Fayne was depicting with her talented pen the Maylee I know.

But this is not the end of the story. 2 days ago, Maylee shared wonderful pictures on her blog. She was using that totally awesome umbrella. As I was teasing her again about stealing the umbrella from her, she started to look for the landmark and finaly offered to TP me to the store while i was finishing my blog post. Not asif she had no creation work on her own… Yes, Maylee is THAT nice. After some (a lot) of chat and fun, we both agreed on starting a new trend! WEAR UMBRELLAS ! So now, please, be kind, join the umbrella club!
