Like in a Frank Capra’s Movie

Today’s look will be a bit retro, elegant and sophisticated with a touch of romanticism. I had bought the shirt from Aoharu for something else but it did not fit at that time. I love it though with its loose bow. It reminds me of some 1930 blouse, like in a movie by Frank Capra. I love those old movies. I used to watch them with my grand mother when I was a kid and I am still happy when I see one. It was perfect to match my friend’s outfit who for once forgot about his pirate / biker look. He has discovered MR. Poet some weeks ago and must have bought all the shop at that time.

The skirt comes from District, it is part of a dress actualy, the Mrs Berenger’s one. You cannot see it really good on the picture but the texture has some nice details I haven’t found on other skirts. It is nice to remember about a little treasure hidden in your inventory.

For this outfit, I must have tried / purchased four or five different belts but none was the right color of red or they had details like bows or flowers which were a bit too much with the shirt until I have found this one at LeLutka.

I also had a little problem with the shoes… So I have paid a visit to the Shoe Fair, bought something like three or four fatpacks, all awesome, I will show them later but none of them had brigth red shoes… so I had to go back and went for these cute heels from Ingenue, a shop to remember for great quality elegant shoes with a realistic height.

The Jewels are a new release by Jori Watler for Mood. It is one of my favorite sets up to now with gold twisted links. I like particularly the size of the necklace and the earrings as they are big enough to be seen but not so big that it becomes predominant in the outfit. It compliments the neckline instead of covering it.

And last but not least… the awesome new fascinator from Lagyo. What can I say about it? It is simply perfect. The choice of colors, the splash of red on the white flowers, reminding the brushes. It is original and elegant, a must have.

The Biker

The biker seems to have noticed me and is waiting as I am walking in his direction. The bike is not too bad. Maybe he would accept to take me to the next town where I could take a bus.

As I am approaching, he gets off the bike and removes the helmet. He is looking straight into my eyes… and that makes me shiver. There is something about him, I don’t know, I can’t seem to get away now that our gazes have crossed.

I’ll stay a bit more in this town actualy.

Hello,

very few words today but I have to warn you about the outfit you’ll see below. It requires quite some editing and a viewer that allows you to add multiple attachments or layers at the same point.

For this look, I’ve used some new releases from Lelutka, the blouse and the cardigan, and the new Baiastice skirt from The Dressing Room blue. I am also wearing one of the awesome new realeases from Truth: each time we think he cannot do better, he prooves us wrong. Truth Haws’ hairstyles are just amazing.

Hi Alice! New Shape out

Alice is a realistic shape, 1m74 (5’9”) tall, very versatile, whatever the look you want for her, you should be satisfied with her long mysterious eyes, pulpy lips and cute small nose. Her round face has still some hints of her teens. This low 20 girl has had a classical education but don’t think she is too wise; once she goes out, she will rock you out all night long. Modern Duchess

Hi,

today’s look is not that original as it is made of items you’ve seen everywhere around in the past days… but i like those so much. After all, my blog is not about being the most original, nor showing only the latest releases. It’s about having fun taking pictures, using my shapes, dressing in ways or styles i like, as different as they can be.

Today’s pictures are a bit different as i wanted to emphasize how good the textures on the LeLutka BLAZIN dress are. I just couldn’t blur them to obtain the usual orton effect I am using on other pictures. And yes, LeLutka again… but with such a great summer collection, it is impossible not to…

From tomorrow until the 10th, I am going on vacation, so there will be no new posts for several days, that doesn’t mean i’ve stopped, not yet.

Trash Doll

Hi!

I’m pretty happy with today’s look. At the beginning, i was seriously lacking inspiration then i remembered about that Atomic skirt i bought during Stumblebum Brigade event last week-end. I was very pleased to see the good work on the sculpties textures. I often don’t like sculpty skirts that much as they look unnatural to me, never flowing the right way, unless you stay as straight as a military, or they are too poofy, or legs are showing out of the sculpt or whatever. This one is just great, not too poofy as the upper part is made of sheer textures. As I was still wearing yesterday’s Analog Dog Hair, the idea came the skirt didn’t need a top after all as it is covering the nipples. I went on with the trash mood and added League’s scarf and stockings from past weeks theomery or 50L Fridays events. To complete the look i’ve chosen my current favorite black boots, from Hoorenbeek.

The skin is from LeLutka, Lola in sunkissed. At the beginning, i was not so fond of it as default lightning is often hard on skins which are not shiny. When choosing a skin, I am thinking about how people will see my avatar. As much as I love some skins for taking pictures with the right windlight settings, as much as I prefer others when roleplaying, as i hate wearing a face lamp or i know others don’t even have a clue about windlight. During the past few days, I’ve been wearing Lola not only to take pictures but also during my other activities and the more i wear it, the more i like it. It is a great skin with original make-ups which can be used aswell for a sweet look as for something way more sophisticate.
