My pictures will be a bit different today has Harlow Heslop has issued the challenged to post unedited pictures for our blogs. I like the idea as it allowed me to rethink my way of taking pictures.

With time, I have developped a windlight settings and some photoshop editions which allow me to enhance my picture while keeping the colors natural and giving more depth effect. For this set of pictures, I have created a new windlight setting, and I have also framed the pictures so I don’t have to resize them. The result is a bit too blue but let’s say it is the wanted effect.

In a way, I have cheated as I have used newly released mesh items, which remove a lot of problems from the pictures. When you are going to stores like celoe, Exile and The Secret Store, you are sure to have quality products which won’t disapoint you.

I have used another trick actualy, which was not intended at first. I am taking my pictures in .png to avoid loosing details. I am also taking them using a huge resolution like 4000 x 5000 pixels. I first wanted to post the original pictures but that meant uploading 31 mega to flickr so I have decided to downsize them the way i usualy do, transforming to .jpg with a lower resolution, and hiding a lot of problematic details this way like jagged edges.

Finaly, for the skin, I am wearing pUK from Dutch Touch, the new release for the VIP group only.

As a conclusion, I would like to focus on the fact that, wether you choose to edit your pictures or not, because it is your fun to do so or not, while using quality items, a good windlight setting and having an eye for framing, you should come up with quality pictures.

Week 1 Challenge: Grey

Hello,

For today’s post, i’ve decided to do Luna Jubilee’s Blogger Challenge. For this week, we have to compose an outfit with grey as the predominant color. I’ve paid a visit to fri.day where they have new sweaters. I like the fact they have arms a different color from the body. It adds light to it, even with grey. It was also the occasion to use those pants from Lukc inc. I had purchased them some weeks ago and finaly never blogged them. I’ve added an underpant layer though to cover the skin between the pants and the sweater. Luck inc. trousers are definately too low cut for me. I like sexy clothes, but too much is too much.

For the photo shoot, I didn’t want it to happen in a studio so i’ve been searching for something in world, typing “concrete” in the search. What i’ve found was the “Missing Mile Rural Community“, which is actualy a kind of grunge rural town with a lot of trees. I’d totaly see Twilight here, it reminds me of the locations of the movies. I haven’t met anyone so i have no idea about the kind of roleplay they have, the notecard just says it is free form, so it could be anything, I don’t think it is vampire based one though, but they definately do it in a very good looking place. I’ll come back for sure.

NUFFIN’ BUT MY HAIR, SKIN & SHOES!

This picture was taken more than 2 months ago for someone who didn’t answer to the invite. For once, i tried to be a bit more naughty than i usualy am but trying to keep it elegant. Too bad for him! Now, at least, Alysha’s Renahan’s new plurker challenge gives me the occasion to do something of it.

While I don’t have a problem with nudity, going naked is not really my thing. My fun is about getting dressed. So, enjoy this picture because you won’t see many like it here!

Flea Market

Hello,

as you most certainly already know,there is a flea market event at Pookie Promenade with plenty of great vintage inspired items. In this post, i’ve chosen to showcase a dress from ::{u.f.o}:: and an adorable bag from duboo wich is typical for a flea market. Too bad they hadn’t got the matching wallet!

If you’re looking more closely at the shoes on the first picture, you’ll see those are grey instead of mint green. I’ve chosen to let them this way as this is how they appear to me most of the time in SL lately. I don’t know about you but i am getting more trouble each day to take correct pictures whatever viewer i may try. Typically, I crash and some sculpty appear grey until i clear cash yet again. Sorry Linden Labs but I am not keen to clear my cash 5 times a day. Please, do something about this.

Hi,

I need your help! At least, the help from someone who knows a bit about blogs and feeds about SL fashion. Normally, my blog has been accepted at least in 2 feeds but either I don’t see it appear anymore or I have never seen it at all. On Chic Critique, the last time one of my post appeared was on the 19th of july. Since then, several blogs i used to see on that feed haven’t appeared either while they also have new posts. My blog has also been accepted in another feed, metavirtual.us but it doesn’t appear either. So, now, i am wondering… am I doing something wrong? I don’t remember having changed anything in the blog settings since then.

Now… the fashion side… the top is Emery’s contribution to The Dressing Room Blue. It includes the underneath bra and is definately something you have to pick there. The skin is also from TDR Blue, from the Special guest, Dekade. Great skin for blondes with little money in the pocket. The haircut is today new release from fri.day and is very pretty, lovely, cute, add any sweet description here. I’ve chosen to wear the anxious blonde shade as i am a bit anxious about the blog.

So, if you have any idea about what’s wrong, please let me know. Now i am crossing fingers that i am actualy going paranoid and that this post will appear in the feeds…

Hello,

this is already old history as you are reading this post but fri.day had a 50% sale until June 12th. I was drooling over this tourist jacket for a long time now but for some obscure reason, didn’t buy it. Now that I finally purchased it, I deeply regret not having done so sooner! The hair are also from fri.day. I particularly like the hat and the textures you can choose from. Underneath, I am wearing the Maitreya bodysuit in Sea Green. It is currently available at the Dressing Room Blue for only 50 L$! A real bargain for a great piece of clothing. The pants were a bit more of a headache to find. After several purchases which did not fit the look i wanted, i finally remembered about those great pants from Gisaci and modified them to match the grey of the jacket. This look is much less colorful then the past ones but I like it as I feel it is very classy and elegant.
