Teal Delight

Hello,

Sometimes, you feal like sailing away, taking a break, far from the daily routine, or far from problems. An escape can cure some wounds, not all. You can run, but there are things that will always get back to you.

For a change, I’ve used a windlight setting called Sailor’s Delight, which gives that orange sky. As I had put up together this outfit made of old and new releases from Emery, for the 52 Weeks of color challenge : Teal, I liked the vivid contrast with the sky. I’ve tried to post-process a bit but it was not really adding to the picture so for once I’ve let it raw.

The skin is only available for a limited time at Atomic for Stumblebum Brigade, hairstyle is last FLF Clawtooth offer and the necklace is available at The Dressing Room. I am not sure the shoes can still be purchased. I got them at a special event some months ago. The shirt was taking dust in my inventory for something like 2 years. It only comes on the jacket layer so this look was only possible thanks to the great new feature from 2.1 SL Viewer which allows you to add up to 5 other clothings on the same layer.

Sparkling Silver

Hi,

I was inspired by the *LP* December disco body for LP Design and have chosen to play with silver and black to make it pop out of the outfit. While LP is rather into very sexy outfits, i didn’t feel like using it this way and picked old Gisaci clothing I had for more than 2 years in my inventory for a look a bit more chic and jazzy.

If you don’t know… Gisaci is a brand from the Armidi collective. Though most of their creations are more than 2 years old, some are still unparalleled, like those tweed slacks which are among my all time favorites pants. Go for their final sale at The Warehouse, pick the group and get everything at 50% of the normal price… if you don’t already own most of their stuff like I do. (by te way, you need to wear your group tag to be able to TP there)

The hairstyle is today’s Fifty Linden Friday offer from Clawtooth and is inspired by Louise Brooks, an actress from the 1920’s famous for her bobbed haircut. I hadn’t build the outfit around the hair but it happened to be just what it needed for a more dramatic effect.

By the way, this outfit was made thanks to the new feature from the SL 2.1 viewer which allows you to wear several pieces of the same layer. Here i am wearing 2 shirts so i could still get the pants over the body and the Gisaci shirt unfortunately doesn’t come on the undershirt layer, which has always a bit annoyed me.
